For the Bride | All About The Sparkler Exit

Surprisingly there are a lot of components to successfully pulling off a sparkler exit.  Believe it or not, orchestrating 50-100+ guests at the end of a wedding reception with sticks blazing fire can be a little bit tricky but not to worry I am a pro at this!

Other than the obvious logistics, that I got you covered, there are a few elements that should be considered.  First, the size of the sparklers!  Couples should be sure they are purchasing event sparklers!  They are longer and burn slower than the fast burning cheaper sparklers.  These will ensure that your guests have plenty of time to get their sparkles on and you can take your time and relish your wedding day send-off.  Think about a tin with sand for your guests to put the hot sparklers after the send-off.   Secondly, take your time!  Savor the last moments of your wedding day as bride and groom and love on each-other a little bit.  Third, think of doing a smaller version of the send-off.  Earlier in the night slip out with just the bridal party and a few immediate family members and do a mini-lighter-celebration!  In photos nobody will be able to tell a difference and the participants may be far less wobbly!

Lastly, always contact your venue the week of to see if there may be a fire ban on your wedding day!  I know this is a huge bummer but in the Florida pines surrounded by kindle it does happen..  So, have a back-up plan.  I would love to suggest sky-lanterns!  How romantic watching a number of lanterns carrying hopes and dreams away to the heavens on your wedding night.
